AssetCool is proud to announce the launch of its next generation Capacity-1, the next evolution of its flagship robotic platform technology. The Alpha- MK2, builds on the proven success during pilots of the Alpha- MK1, and delivers a sizeable step-change in performance, reliability, and automation as the company scales its offering globally.

This milestone underscores AssetCool’s ongoing commitment to continuous product development, innovation, and scalability, as the company continues to transform how utilities manage, protect, and optimize their networks.

Optimising Strength, Design, and Scalability

At the heart of the MK2 development lies a fully redesigned carbon-fibre structure, engineered for exceptional strength, durability, and reduced weight. Despite achieving a 35% smaller footprint, the MK2 delivers similar battery capacity and improved fluid storage capacity, increasing ease of handling in the field. The platform has also been optimised ergonomically, with easier points for line crews and field operators to hold and carry the robots around.

A new Design for Manufacture (DFM) optimisation has simplified the structural chassis from 9 primary parts to just three - enhancing manufacturability, reducing complexity, and ensuring consistent quality as AssetCool scales up production. The company is already producing a fleet of platforms and has stood up production facilities for volume production in a matter of months.

Enhanced Intelligence and Control

The MK2 introduces an improved electronics and sensing suite:

• Advanced Power Management Boards with real-time temperature and humidity monitoring for operational logging. • Upgraded Fluid Delivery System with embedded telemetry for improved fluidic flow. • High-Resolution Camera System and new video capture boards, enabling collection of training-grade data for object detection, and large-scale robotic learning. • Odometry based telemetry to track exact positional feedback during operations.

Next Generation Software Integration & Fleet-Scale Optimization

With this new software Upgrade the MK2 supports:

• Multi-bot control for simultaneous operations across spans and seamless switching in multi-bot operations. • Fully integrated control of speed, coating, and telemetry parameters with enhanced and state of the art communication protocols. • Enhanced analytics and user interface for streamlined deployment and fleet management.
